2003 Portchester Gala

A very hot June day saw host to this year's Portchester Gala. Fareham Lions joined a large number of other organisations in the huge street procession through the village of Portchester and then at the fayre in the grounds of Portchester Castle that followed.

The turnout for both events was huge. The streets of Portchester were lined with people waiting to see the procession as far as the eye could see. We bought over 300 lollies for the event which had run out by half way around the course.

The arena shows and many other stalls and attractions made the event a very enjoyable and great family day out. Our tin stall proved a huge success selling out of tins halfway through the fayre and our lions and gnome shy went down a storm.
