SpecTrek 2003

Sunday 27th April marked the end of this years Spektrek appeal. We had a fantastic response from the public of Fareham. Fareham Lions met Petersfield Lions outside Aldi in Fareham to hand over, over 600 pairs of old glasses.

The glasses will now be taken, along with the contributions from other UK Lions Clubs to the Lions main collection centre. There they will be cleaned and polished and then sent to developing countries for use where they are needed.

Although the 2002/2003 Spectrek appeal is over we are already starting to collect glasses for next years appeal. If anyone has any old glasses they no longer require please either contact one of the Lions on the contacts page or look out for one of our bins in one of the local opticians.
