2004 Youth Exchange

In July 2004 Fareham, Cosham and Hayling Island Lions hosted 6 young people from the Lions International Youth Exchange project. We had 4 young Japanese ladies and a young Slovakian and Swedish gentlemen. We organised a wide range of activities including trips to London and the Isle of Wight, a race evening, ten pin bowling, barbecue, cinema, bingo, quizzes and nights in a local pub.

As well as the exchange students enjoying a very memorable, exciting and interesting week, all of the Lions who took part also got involved with some very interesting conversations and activities learning about the different languages, cultures and ways of life.
